Bionanoteam minisymposium: 10 years of research
Bionanoteam minisymposium was held on 22.1. 2019 at the Department of Biology, Biotechnical Faculty UL in honor of the 10th anniversary of bionanoteam research group. Introductory words were given by Prof. dr. Emil Erjavec; Dean of Biotechnical Faculty; Prof. dr. Mihael Jožef Toman, Vice-dean and Dr. Alenka Rožaj, Director of Slovenian Innovation hub. Bionanoteam hosted Andreas Falk from Bionanonet (Austria) to present networking possibilities in the field of nanosafety and nanotechnology. Current and past research challenges in the field of nanosafety, applications and methods were presented by current bionanoteam members and invited lecturers from the Institute Jozef Stefan and Faculty of Medicine (UL).

Bionanoteam is a research group at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana.
Founded in 2008 by Prof. Damjana Drobne, Bionanoteam currently consists of 3 experienced researchers, 2 PhD candidates, 1 technical assistant and a number of graduate and undergraduate students. Damjana is a Professor of Zoology and Professor of Toxicology from University of Ljubljana. With over twenty years of research experience, she is the founder and principal investigator of Bionanoteam.
