I graduated at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Biology (2011). The title of my graduation thesis is: Application of Light Microscopy and Computer Aided Image Analysis in a Study of Morphological Transformation of Lipid Vesicles.

My main research activity is elaborating a standard operating procedure (SOP) for testing the biological potential of nanoparticles. The method is biosensor-based, medium independent, and allows testing nanoparticles possessing different primary and secondary characteristics.

Methods I am specialized in:

  • electroformation of giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs),
  • phase contrast light microscopy,
  • computer aided image analysis.
